Golden Acorn - Volunteer Recognition Award

The Golden Acorn Award is a Washington State PTA award for volunteer recognition who has given outstanding service to all children in the school community.  This award is not just for individual who has donated time to help in his/her child’s class or a staff member who is doing a good job.  It is to recognize volunteer service “above and beyond” a particular job description.

The benefits of the Golden Acorn Award is two-fold... it recognizes an individual who has given outstanding service to children and it supports financial grants for students pursuing post-secondary education. Donations are made in each recipient’s name to the fund, which in turn contributes to the future of youth by awarding grants to students who are freshmen entering post secondary education.

If you know of a Eisenhower High School volunteer that has gone "above and beyond" what is expected of them, please let one of the PTSA Board Members know your nomination.  Come to our regular monthly meetings on the SECOND Wednesday of each month or Contact any of the IKE PTSA board.
