Eisenhower High School
Cadet Crime Stoppers
Eisenhower High School is the first high school to pilot the program in
Washington State and both students and teachers alike hope to see huge results. For the cost of a
latte, that same monthly donation can make a difference.
We are looking to ‘take back our school’ from
crime and you can help.
Students have the option of texting Officer Graves tips through their cell phone.
The process is completely secure and anonymous and a very effective and efficient means
of safely communicating in today’s world. Students may get anywhere from $20.00- $1,000 in
cash from Eisenhower Crime Stoppers if their information leads to the suspension and/or
arrest of the student participating in criminal
behavior.

Eisenhower High School is extremely pleased to team with Yakima’s local Crime Stoppers organization to
pilot a student version called Cadet Crime Stoppers. Students, staff, School Resource Officer
Ben Graves, and Principal Stacey Locke are excited about the opportunity to reduce and eliminate
criminal behavior on and around the Eisenhower campus.
Eisenhower PTSA
is proud to be a part of this success with funding assistance for
this exciting new program. Evidence shows that the program is working. The commitment by students, school personnel, law
enforcement, and community to provide a safe and secure learning environment for students is
astounding. "Simply,
awesome!!” --Stacey Locke,
Principal, D.D. Eisenhower High School.
Here's How the System
Works...
1) Text “IKE plus your message” to
274637 (CRIMES) to report a tip.
2) Upon reception of the first incoming message, the system will
auto-reply with a confirmation containing their unique Tip ID.
3) After 24 hours you will need to text “Was he/she
caught?” to the first text message.
4) If your tip results in a cash reward you will then receive information
on where to pick up your cash reward.
***** This service is only monitored
Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, excluding holidays. If you have an urgent tip
please see a teacher nearby or call 911.

The IKE PTSA and Class of 2013 are setting aside two days out of the school year to go out
and clean the Greenway between 16th and 40th Ave. The students have swept the path from one end to
the other. They have clipped back the overgrowth. And, have gone deep into the bushes to
collect any garbage that has accumulated on the sides of the path. They have even painted the
restroom and removed unwanted dirt from the parking lot.
We are looking forward to another two years of helping to beautify the area. The students are
asking friends, family and community members for donations to support their efforts and we split
the donations with the Greenway. We raised $2,300 dollars this last year and this year our goal is
to raise 4,000.
We have already had some great support in helping us to accomplish our goals. Businesses like
Sun West Motors, Christel Clear Photography, Mc Donalds of Yakima, Dominos Pizza, Fred Meyers, Ted
Brown Music, Spanky’s Car Wash, Cake Shop, Olive Garden and Walgreens have all lent support to help
clean the greenway raise funds for the greenway and raise funds for the Ike Class of 2013. We are
so grateful for their support.
Please support our efforts with a donation on our Facebook page Ike Class of 2013 Clean the Greenway Fundraiser.
