
EISENHOWER HIGH SCHOOL PTSA MEETING MINUTES JAN. 12, 2011
President Sherrie Schwehr called the meeting to order at 6:35pm in Room 103. Present
were Lori Frymier, Sherrie Schwehr, Linda Kincannon, Lynda Otey, Karen Troianello, Toni Ivey, Kim Griffith,
Erika Adams, Rhonda Easter, and Stacey Locke.
Jim Wright and Paul Stephens were guest speakers.
Minutes of the Dec. meeting were read and
approved.
Treasurer’s Report - December report was
presented.
Guest Speakers - Info on New School Building Plans
Graduation is June 2 and, on June 3rd the removal of the pool begins and that area
will become a parking lot for students, ready for school opening in August. Phase 1 begins August 1st with
new school construction slated for opening to students August 2013 with a capacity of 2400 students. Phase 2
is Zaepfel Stadium renovation beginning May 2012 and ending Aug. 2012. Phase 3 follows with removal of old
IKE building and addition of new sports fields (soccer, tennis, softball , baseball, etc.)
Reflections - Ike had 2 winners- Joe Mulvihill
and Adrian Sanchez. Congratulations to both!
Senior Party - The Class of 2011 currently has
$3688 for their senior party. A Senior Parent meeting will be held Jan. 25th. The next fundraiser will be the
IKE/Davis staff basketball game on March 18 and then the 3rd Annual Craft and Yard Sale on March 19th & 20th
. 85 letters to past vendors have gone out. The sophomore class will have an Osbourne Book sale near the
concession area during the Yard Sale. No silent auction will take place.
Membership - IKE PTSA currently has 54 members. The 2nd
membership payment to WSPTA is due 1/25/11.
New Business -The Standing Rules Committee
(Susie Ball, Loretta Franz and Sherrie Schwehr) will present
the revised rules at
the next meeting in order to list WSPTA as our registered agent with the IRS. Membership will vote on the
committee recommendations. A nominating committee for next year’s officers will be set up at the next meeting
also.
The MLK AAU Basketball Tournament is this weekend. They are in need of volunteers and
donations. Contact Toni Ivy. The School District is looking for volunteers to house Japanese high school
students April 16-29.
A request was made to revive the Athletic
Awards program. Further discussion will be needed.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:55pm.
