
EISENHOWER HIGH SCHOOL PTSA MEETING MINUTES APR.
13,2011
President Sherrie Schwehr called the meeting to order at 6:35pm. Present were Lori
Frymier, Linda Kincannon, Lynda Otey, Susie Ball, Stacey Locke, Lisa Allison, Brian Suenishi, Lis Pedimonte,
Kim Griffith, and Cheryl Sauer.
Minutes of the March 9 meeting were read and approved.
Treasurer’s
Report- March report was presented. $1.29 interest earned & $292.18 from escrip.
We have 57 members to date.
Principal’s
Report- Ike will change from trimester to semester this fall. 52 new National Honor Society members were
inducted at NHS assembly. David Diaz won Classified Employee of the Year and Annette Cook is nominated for a
Crystal Apple Award. Matching funds for the new school have been approved from Olympia.
Craft &
Yard Sale- Lynda Otey reported $2900 was raised for Senior Party. Recommendation is to have Sale be one
day only next year and allow vendors to set up on Friday evening with IKE/Davis staff basketball game held at IKE
on a different night.
Senior
Party- Senior Party Parent meeting will be held Apr. 25. The IKE/Davis staff basketball game made $391
and the Craft and Yard Sale made $2900. There is $7525 in Party Account and tickets will sell for $20 with 200+
graduates expected. As an incentive for presale ticket purchase, more casino cash will be given out to early
purchasers.
Staff
Appreciation- Lis Pedemonte is planning a breakfast and snacks. Reader Board will announce appreciation
and Renaissance will possibly make posters or cards.
Honors
Convocation- May 16 at Englewood Christian Church. Letters have been sent to students and parents. Setup
for punch and cookies will be at 2pm.
Baccalaureate- will be June 1st at Holy Family Church.
Junior parents are needed for this
event.
Class of
2013- Lisa Allison is working with Greenway on continuing cleanup fundraising and a time capsule
burial.
President’s
Report-PTSA officers for 2011/2012 were elected. President is Lori Frymier. Co-Vice Presidents are
Cheryl Sauer and Lisa Allison. Kim Griffith will be treasurer and temporary secretary until one is selected. They
will take office on July 1st.
New
Business- Membership fees are rising from state and national PTAs.
Budget needs to be planned and audit of books completed.
Meeting was adjourned at 7:15pm.
